Casey brings a lifetime of experience as both a player and coach to the Cyclones. A Kitchener Ontario native, Casey played his college hockey at Merrimack College, where he is currently 4th on the all-time D1 scoring list, before signing a pro contract with the Calgary Flames. He went on to play five years of minor pro hockey before retiring and moving to southern NH.

Coach Casey spent 10 years as the Head Varsity Coach of the Pinkerton Academy Astros. Over that time he guided the Astros to two quarter final appearances, three state semifinal appearances and the 2009 and 2012 State Championships. In 05 he was voted High school coach of the year by his fellow coaches, in 09 and 12 he was awarded the Hockey Night in Boston NH Coach of the Year.
For the past 5 seasons Coach Casey has been at the Head Varsity Coach at the New Hampton School, a New England Boarding School. In his first 5 seasons at New Hampton he has rebuilt the Huskies into one of the top programs in New England. The Huskies have made the New England tournament the past 4 years, just this past season the Huskies lost in the New England final 5-4 in OT to Lawrence Academy.
Prior to joining the Cyclones Casey was the Director of the NH Avalanche Program for 14 years, in that time he helped establish the Avalanche as one of the top youth hockey programs in New England, developing many players that eventually went on to play College and even Pro Hockey! Casey also owns and operates the NH Knights spring program where over the last 11 years the Knights have been one of the top spring programs in the area winning many prestigious tournaments and helping many players achieve their goal of playing college hockey.
