Northern Cyclones Split Midget Prep Teams
- Teams: There will be teams, U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 Split teams.
2. Game Schedule:
The teams will have one of the most competitive schedules in New England with a combination of Independent, Beast and other top showcases and scrimmages. All teams will play a minimum of 20 games and most likely will be closer to 25.
The U15, U16 and the U18 will declare Tier 1 in NH and be National Bound Teams. Games to qualify for Regionals will be played around the Showcases.
The U17/U19 will play an independent schedule of Showcases and scrimmages to maximize exposure and get players ready for their prep seasons! The U19 team will allow players born in 2005 to play on the team.
3. Tournaments: All teams will play in the following Showcases.

*tournaments can be changed or added if needed quality scrimmages against top 40 teams in the country will be added.
4. Practices/ Skills: The U15 team will have two practices a week one of which will be a skills practice. Practices will be Tuesday 8:40pm at Cyclones in Hudson and Skills will be Wednesday at 6:00pm at Tsongas in Lowell and either Wednesday or Thursday in Hooksett, NH!
Players will be able to pick which skills to attend.
This could change based on ice availability. U16 players that are at Public or Catholic Schools will also attend these practices.
6. Placement Program: All players that play on the U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 teams will have access to use Casey Kesselring to help with placement in Prep, Junior or College. This can cost as much as $2000 to $5000 a year to hire a placement agency to help your son. If you play for the Cyclones this is included! Casey is a former Prep School Coach and has many connections in the USHL, NAHL, CCHL, BCHL, AJHL, EHL and NCDC Casey has placed many players in Division 1 and Division 3 college hockey and has the contacts to help your son been seen!
You will get an honest evaluation of where your son can play and best path to try and help them achieve their goals!
7. Video: The Cyclones are one of the only split midget programs that does video with their players. The Cyclones use Vidswap the software breaks down games and allows players to see their shifts and allows coaches to edit video and have zoom calls with players to go over systems, special teams, and individual play. The system is also a great recruiting tool as video is easily shared with other coaches and players can easily make up highlight videos to send to prep, junior or college coaches.
8. Coaches:
U15 & U16 Head Coach:
Casey Kesselring: Coach Kesselring brings close to 20 years of coaching experience to the U15 and U16 teams. The number of championships and player placement over that time has included NHL draft picks and many college placements! Coach Kesselring spent 6 years rebuilding New Hampton into a top prep program with 2 NHL draft picks and 10 D1 commitments as well as top D3 placements. Coach Kess has connections in college and junior hockey that are some of the best in New England! As a player coach Kesselring sits 4th on the D1 scoring list at Merrimack College and also played 5 years of Pro hockey at the ECHL level.
U18 : Chris Adamsons: Coach Chris is back for his 2nd year with the Cyclones last year he was assistant coach with coach Kesselring on the U15 and U16 teams. Chris played prep hockey at Taft before a year of Junior Hockey with the NH Avalanhce before going to Conn College.
U17 Ryan Conery: Coach Conery is the assistant Director for CK Hockey and is responsible for coaching and recruiting throughout the entire program as well as the NH Knights spring program. Growing up he attended Cardigan Mountain then Winchendon School before moving on to Junior Hockey in Tampa Bay. He played for 2 seasons at Bryn Athyn before finishing his degree at West Chester University. Last year he guided the U17 season to the EAK Labor Day Championship!
U19: Ryan Conery: Coach Conery is the assistant Director for CK Hockey and is responsible for coaching and recruiting throughout the entire program as well as the NH Knights spring program. Assistant Coaches:
Michael Kane: Coach Kaner played for Coach Kesselring at New Hampton where he earned a D1 scholarship to Holy Cross! He then played Junior Hockey for the NJ Hitmen before going to Holy Cross.

9. Cost:
U15: $2275
U16: $2275 with practices
U16: $1830 no practices just skills
U18 National Bound: $1830
U18 & U19 Showcase Teams: $1695
*All players will have to purchase socks and jersey’s, returning players can use their jerseys from the previous year.
