Hudson, NH – The Northern Cyclones organization is thrilled to announce that NCDC goaltender Charlie Archer has committed to play his college hockey at Hamilton College! Archer, a rookie in the USPHL’s NCDC, will begin his NCAA career next season.

Archer, a native of Belleville, Ontario, joined the Cyclones in December via trade from the Boston Junior Bruins. Archer joined the Cyclones roster on January 4th when the organization reported to Hub City Tampa. He has remained with the team throughout the hub as the Cyclones battle for playoff positioning.

Prior to joining the Cyclones, Archer was 4-2-0 with a .931 save percentage and a 2.32 GAA in six games played for the Junior Bruins. In ten games with the Cyclones, Archer is 5-3-1 with a 3.26 GAA and a .892 SV%. Archer’s strong performance was recognized on Monday when the USPHL named him to the 2021 NCDC Top Uncommitted Players Game, which was part of the league’s All-Star series in Tampa.

Archer played the third period in that game, and stopped all nine shots he faced. In the process, his team scored five unanswered goals to claim a 10-6 win. As a result, Archer was the goalie of record and added an All-Star Game victory to his season achievements.

Congratulations to Charlie and his entire family on this outstanding achievement!
