Cyclones Arena Learn to Skate Program

Program Overview

This learn to skate program gives skaters of all levels the tools they need to learn and refine their skills.  Whether you are interested in figure skating, hockey or just looking for a fun challenge, this program is for you!  Your child will be provided with a 30-minute group lesson from one of our instructors as well as a 30 minute practice to work on individual skills.  Starting this year we will have our Basic Skills classes for skaters ages 4 years and up, then we will be offering Tots classes during the week for children ages 3 years and up. Our Sessions will be 10 weeks long for each program and we will be offering three sessions throughout the Fall and Winter months.

Our classes will be run in conjunction with the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills program and our professional coaching staff. Our program teaches the fundamentals of hockey skating as well as figure skating.  To register in person for the current session, you can stop by the arena at any time and fill out a registration form or you can download our Registration form below or Register Online at the link below:

Session 1: September 12th - November 21st

*No Class October 10th
Time: 8:30AM – 9:30AM
Cost: $170.00 ($30 Registration fee for new skaters)

Session 2: November 28th - February 6th 

*No Class January 16th 
Time: 8:30AM – 9:30AM
Cost: $170.00 ($30 Registration fee for new skaters)

Session 3: February 13th - April 24th 
*No Class April 17th
Time: 8:30AM – 9:30AM
Cost: $170.00 ($30 Registration fee for new skaters)

Session 4: May 1st - June 26th
Time: 8:30AM – 9:30AM
Cost: $170.00 ($30 Registration fee for new skaters)

Please Note:


-All skaters under 6 and all beginners are strongly advised to wear a helmet (either a hockey or bike helmet) and warm clothing such as mittens, water repellant pants, and a jacket.

 

- Rental skates are available!
